Dielectric Testing
Runnion Equipment offers dielectric testing at our shop or in the field for your required periodic dielectric inspections
Insulated aerial lifts are designed to better protect an operator from electrocution. To ensure electrical insulation is working correctly, lifts should undergo dielectric testing.
Dielectric testing is a non-destructive method of testing the insulation’s ability to resist a high voltage charge. Aerial lift manufacturers will determine a recommended frequency of testing but units should also be tested after repairs and after contact with power lines.
